San Luis Obispo Injury Law Firm – Receptionist Job Position

Are you ready to be the first point of contact for people who were injured due to the negligence of somebody else and are seeking compensation? At James McKiernan Injury Lawyers in San Luis Obispo, we need a friendly, full-time receptionist to answer our multi-line phone system who is familiar with basic office equipment and can type at least 40 words per minute. We offer a good hourly rate and health insurance.

Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Receive and sort incoming mail
  • Greet and welcome all visitors
  • Keep a clean, safe reception area by following rules and procedures
  • Announce clients as necessary
  • Prepare meeting rooms
  • Help with a variety of administrative tasks such as taking notes, faxing, copying, and making travel arrangements
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

Receptionist Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a receptionist or in a related field
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional dress and manner
  • Competency in Microsoft applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to contribute positively as part of a team
